This is disgusting really.. for the v8 lovers... its unbelievable that the 350 is more powerful than the 430.
They should have installed the 460 altogether and be done with it. What where they thinking???

The 430 on the looks of it has a lot more gadgets that cost weight...

Yeah, retarded in my eyes too, but maybe they still have alot on the lots of many dealerships so didnt replace it yet? Or are still working on fitting the 4.6L into the GS' engine bay. Or maybe they are short on the engine? Who knows, but they obviously did it for a reason.

The GS350 has a slightly higher rated horspower rating (+13) but the GS430 has significantly more torque (+45). So to comment on your post, the GS430 is a more powerful motor. If you compare the two sedans the GS430 will accelerate and climb hills better than the GS350. However, the GS350 is more efficient and practical than the GS430. Lexus may not be ready to release the upgraded V8 for the GS yet because they are releasing the LS460 very soon.

Don't worry - you'll probably never even see a 2007 GS430 on a dealer's lot. It's a special order only, and V8 lovers are going to be redirected to the GS450h until the GS460 is ready.
