hey mcgrady you claim youre getting that AWD in florida. i wonder about that. you cannot get AWD in florida unless you special order it. did you special order it? this sounds almost as fishy as JACE7's claim to pay 1K under invoice. if it looks like crap and it smells like crap, my friend it is CRAP!!!!!

OK guys I did it...details...leased from Bridgewater Lexus(difeo) in NJ. msrp 49,262+689 for dealer installed xm sat....first offer to me was 46,500 told him to do better....final neg price $44,999...no m/l. he had my color, Glacier frost mica w/black, first service free. a little higher than what I could have gotten from Ray Catena(44,000 w/o xm) but since they are 5 minns from my house I decided to go with Bridgewater Lexus. Pick it up this saturday...I still have 1mth left on my Infiniti M45 but I could not wait. FYI ray Catena will do ML or no ML at Basically invoice. Let me know if you want the guys name....Also Re: gs450h below MSRP I found one fully loaded with everything including stabilazation etc msrp 65,000 and will sell for 59,900 so yes they can be found. There is a 1% holdback on the gs450h.... I will post pics of my new baby when I get them....

Sid, congrats on the car. Excellent color choice. Believe it or not that is the exact same car that I bought. Very rare color especially with the black interior is hard to find. I heard there's only 3 left in the entire tristate area. Hope you didn't take the last one? I pick mine up next week!

What are your lease terms and purchase option at lease end?

I'm talking to several dealers via e-mail. And each of them has given me quotes. One even says he has a quartz/gray coming in...so I don't know if this is true or not?

But, I'm just trying to get a price point...no need to take a dump on me

Still debating between the GS350AWD and RL... though, all I asked was if it was absolute rock bottom pricing or I have room to negotiate. Why would I need to lie when I'm asking for honest advice? haha, maybe it's a CL thing?

Oh well, thanks for the help anyways.

mcgrady i wasnt dumping on you i was just merely stating a fact. when i was in the market for my GS350 i tried to get the AWD from florida and it was only as a special order. my friends daughter works in JM lexus and they couldnt get the AWD without special ordering it. they did get me a great deal on an RWD w/ML dirt cheap. i had to make the decision between the RWD/AWD. living in NYC the decision was very easy. in any event i didnt mean to bash you. it just sounded a bit fishy. who knows maybe im wrong. sorry for the bash

Luxury Tax?? I was told they put a stop to luxury tax effective 1/1/03. I thought it was nationwide or is it only here in NY?

Never pay more. Just learn to negotiate better.
Well the best deal I could get here was $3678 over invoice, so I cancelled the car and am flying to the east coast to pick up my car!

If you want to know what I did with my supreme negotiating skills. I called the dealer and asked him how much the car was. I got it for $500 over invoice!

Congrats NJSID on your new purchase! I'm not familiar with Bridgewater Lexus but Ray Catena does give fair prices. In the north NJ area, my buddies have been having great luck with Prestige Lexus and their family of dealerships. I'm in the market for a new car but I'm still undecided.

Prestige Benz is willing to give me a great deal on a lease (after some negotiating) for MB e350 RWD.

27 months
12,000 miles/year
500 per month
1,000 upfront + fees

Prestige Lexus might give me gs350 AWD w/ ML + NAV for 46k flat.

However, all said and done...i'm still not 100% certain of pulling the trigger on either of them. There's a few cars that are coming out soon that intrigue my interest:

Audi A5
Porche Panarama

I also love the MB GL but completely out of my price range. Anyway, I think you made a great choice.

Hi NJSID,

I have a 2000 GS400 that I plan to trade in for a GS350AWD and am wondering if you would be willing to share what your final terms were and if you are happy with your actual dealer and want to reccomend him/her I am open. I have been to Rallye who calim there is no ML in the Northeast (interesting since I have seen and priced it in Manhattan) Rallye is 3K down 609/mo Nav but no ML; and Manhattan is 3K down 675/mo with Nav+ML. Both are 36mo 12K with taxes and fees up fron in addition.

Thanks
