What's the cheapest GS350 - Non Lease - Just Buy it outright!..........
I keep seeing tremendous deals on GS350's here and then I hear that some folks may have leased theirs. When you lease - you get screwed - Big Time!
So I'd like to hear from folks that just wrote a check for their GS350 and see what kind of deal they got! - Or financed their car at a bank of their choosing. How much over invoice did you pay - no need to discuss taxes here.

Leasing has its advantages. There are too many variables to just say "you get screwed in leasing" a vehicle.

The residual on the 06 dropped when the 07s came out. Not sure of the actual percentage figure that it dropped to though. If you look through this thread you can see what I'm talking about.

I was speaking with one of the sales managers at my local Lexus dealer and he was commenting how disappointed they were on the drop of value. Apparently people are seeing more than a 10k loss in the first year. Keep in mind, the higher priced luxury cars do take a bigger hit at first.
I haven't looked at the 06 prices but I would imagine you could work a pretty good deal on one if there are any left. If the residual continues to fall on the GS, it makes leasing rates go up, so the lower it falls, the higher the payment goes. There are many other factors involved but this is a main calculation in leasing.
My suggestion, stay away from the 06, it has issues. I've had two already. My 07 should be in next week. From what I've seen they fixed most of the issues in the second year model.

It is the most expensive way to drive a car - period!
Financing is cheaper than leasing.
Paying cash is the cheapest.
These are not opinions - they are facts.
The advantage you get from a lease is you have a smaller monthly payment. (i.e. - You can drive a car you cannot afford!)

Or if you have so little money that you are carrying credit card debt at 20% so the lease rate is a cheaper way to borrow - but that probably means you should drive a beater Civic until you get your finances in order.
