Twister,
The Viper 160 is one of the most reliable systems on the market. I sell close to 500 a year and very minimal problems. When they switched from a bigger fob to the new fob roughly 3 years ago there were many problems but since have rectified the problem and they are back to being the good brand they have always been.
Hopefully next week at CES Directed has a solution so we can all start to do remote starts in the new push to start vehicles.

Like twister said...i don't believe the key is hidden inside the car..i can only restart the car once if it stalls...i can't do it a second time.

Twister-can you also test if your car will restart without the fobs after you use the remote starter? You know how you told me the car will stall if you don't put it in drive within 20-30seconds? Can you try by not locking your car...then use the remote starter to start but leave the key fobs in the house...if i guess correctly...your car will stall when you put it in drive/reverse...but just press "start"again...it might start again...thats what is happening to me.

I'm just concerned if this is another lexus issue with these aftermarket remote starters...i really don't want to go back to sevice again...

Holly ****, just remote started my car, unlocked the car to get in, opened the window to through the keys outside on the ground, and... went for a test drive without any keys in the car Interesting I guess, as long as I don't open the door after remote start, its not a problem. BUT, if I remote start the car and open the door, anybody can get in and drive the car

BTW, ucmyGS350, I assume you confirmed no relay clicks? Do you by any chance know where they relocated relay under the hood?

They said they installed the new relay under the hood, behind the firewall, the opposite end of the dash? This was how the service manager described it to me. I hope this helps..

They have to be able to fix it for you..what a difference for me this weekend driving w/o that "click click" noise in the city. This is the way the car should be...once they fix that problem for you...you will have a new found appreciation for a quiet ride!
