I'm on a verge of making a switch from my ES350 to GS350 AWD. Being regular on ES350 forum, all we talk in there about PROBLEMS (wind noise, tranny TSIBs, and tons of others), kind of depressing
While visiting this forum, I haven't seen at least one significant problem mentioned with '07 GS350 AWD. Maybe its just too early cause it has been released recently, but than this is just an engine update while tranny and the rest of the stuff should be similar to '06 model. Am I correct to assume that everybody is absolutely HAPPY with their GS350 AWD and there is no issues?

The ES350 is a re-design of the ES300. Both Body and Mechanicals. The GS350 is only an Engine upgrade from the 2006 GS300.
MY motto is never buy a re-design in its first year. The next year the bugs should be out of it.
I'm guessing the ES350 is suffering from the 1st year of re-design.

Well, I don't know if this helps, but I have had a 99 GS300 for 8 years and have not had 1 problem with it.
My wife has had an ES300 for 4 years and the only thing that went wrong was an OS2 sensor that caused the ML light to go on.
If the ES350 has a lot of problems, that is very un-Lexus like!

Well, I have an RWD, but I've had no problems at all in the first 3,000 miles, except that the tires were probably overinflated when I got the car from the dealer - the ride has been getting steadily better. There are a lot of posts talking about the '06 GS300/430 having problems similar to the ones you describe with the ES350, but so far it appears that Lexus squashed all of those bugs in the '07 models.

only problem ive had with the 350 was a TSB issue. TSB - reports the onwers are complaing that vehicle pulls to the left. Dealer replaced both lower control arms, wheel alignment, balanced tires, rotated front left tire. Another issue i read about was owners complaining about a rattle comming from the interior where the dash and windshield meet. I know for a fact there is a TSB concerning this issue. I have 2200 miles on my car and today i started hearing a minor noise comming from that area. overall i rate the car a 10. this car is just a blast to drive. the issues are all minor.

Funny you should ask. I seriously considered the ES when looking into my first Lexus, but after browsing the ES forum for a few weeks and test driving the two cars several times I knew the GS was for me.
At one point when I was still considering the ES I remember telling my wife that it seemed like 98% of the posts in the GS forum were from satisfied customers while the ES forum seemed like 50% at best.
I quickly came to the conclusion if I was going to spend this much on a car I wanted to be completely satisfied with my purchase.
And so the GS has delivered. Now I've only got 1800 miles on it, but I do love this car. No car is perfect, but this is the closest I've come yet to meeting and exceeding my expectations.
I hope whatever you choose to do works out for you.

sonik- yes the dealer fixed the problem, without hassle. work took one day to complete. they provided me with a loaner car and i used to for 2 days. since them the car has been trouble free except for the slight rattle comming from the dashboard where it meets the windshield.

franknyc - interestingly enough, i had the same problem but my dealer blamed the tire front driver tire. i replaced my rims with a new aftermarket and the problem disappeared.
