Head room - how tall are you or your passengers?
Hi everyone
I went to checkout the GS at a Lexus dealer with my wife. She is 170cm tall (5.7 feet tall), and she found head room very limited - especially in the rear.
I wanted to know if you are as tall as her - or taller - and if you have any issues with headroom? Or if you regularly carry 6 feet tall passengers in your GS and if they fit OK or if they comment on headroom.
Thanks

Forgot to mention that I am 6.0 foot myself, and will be occasionally driving this car too.
I hope some of you could share with their every day experience with the car's head room.

I have a group of coworkers that we often do lunch and I am by far the shortest at 5'8". We take one of their's Acura RL more often than not as there is far more headroom especially in the back. Everyone likes the GS better (even the RL owner), but he couldn't do the GS since he is a former NBA draft and his wife played in the WNBA until a year ago and both are well above 6'. There is no way they would ever be comfortable in the GS.
Although the other guys are not as tall they also complain about head room and one guy cannot seem to avoid mass head trauma to himself getting in and out of the passenger seat.

You'll get a kick out of this. I'm 6'4" and when I first picked my car up I was trying to find the right driver seat settings to allow me to sit comfortably. Needless to say I was having a tough time of it and settled with moving the drivers seat as far back as it would go, while reclining the seat to give me more head room. It wasn't until a couple of days later that I realized my seat actually moves up and down (like our Suburban) to adjust for height. I don't believe my G35 ever did that. And wow, what a difference that made. Now I'm very comfortable in my GS.
I also agree with Funky that rear seat room is an issue for taller folk. I myself couldn't sit back there for very long without being uncomfortable. I guess that's the price we pay to drive a luxury sport sedan.

I dont bring very many adults for a ride in the GS,so,I do not know about headroom back there. I can tell you about hte front and I am 6'0". I have no problems at all,I find it fine.

I'm 6', too.... Took me awhile to get use to it...
Front... I have to recline my seat more then I want to... to avoid my hair touch the ceiling.
Rear... I woudn't want to be seating there more then a hour...

I'm only 5'7", and the headroom in the front is just enough. Though I feel comfortable, I just can't understand why Lexus designed the car with so little headroom. However, because the car is so amazing, and because I don't require that much headroom due to my height, I love the car. However, headroom is one of this car's biggest weaknesses, especially in the back seat. I've sat in the BMW 5 series, and the interior feels much more roomy.

6'2" I sit back in seat, wish it had an articulated BMW type seat though, but I have plenty of head room.
I have spiky hair, so I usually drive with sun roof slider at least open. Not the window just the visor.
Even with closed, I rub tips of hair sometimes, but room is fine.

6'1" and long-waisted (like a 6'3" guy seated) and the headroom is fine with the seats lowered all the way. It was irritating until I figured that out, though.
Getting in and out of the GS is a lot tougher than in my old RX, though - not recommended for people with knee or back problems.
