If I put GS430 wheels on a GS350 AWD.....
Would it look stupid as far as the car sitting higher?
Would it defeat the purpose of the AWD if I was to drive it in the snow with the diffrent tires?

Yes, theres a post somewhere (do a search) of a AWD with 430 rims and although my guess was that it would look OK, it looked terrible as far as the vehicle sitting higher. I think the AWD looks awkward on the standard rims also, I was surprised from the pictures, I havn't seen one in person as we get very few AWDs here in Atlanta

How about if I just got the GS 350 RWD and not the AWD and put the GS430 wheels on it. Would it still sit high like the AWD?

Here's how my RWD looks - it's not especially low. You need custom springs to lower it - a mod I probably won't bother with, but the other gangstas on this site seem to think is mandatory.

if you dont want to drop and you want 18's, get the RWD instead

Thanks guys for posting the pics. Both look nice with the GS430 wheels.

I put "standard" in quotes because it depends who you talk to. In California, if an RWD has ML and Nav, it has 18" wheels for sure. A lot of the others seem to have them, also. Yes, 17" wheels are the published "standard", but I haven't seen any GS350 RWD's without 18" wheels yet.

With Lexus, you have to learn one thing about dealer inventory, an option my not be standard per Lexus but may become standard for anyone shopping the dealer lots because dealers may make it standard by ordering no vehicles without a certain option. Unless you custom, order you are subject to the dealer's choices.

Hey guys...I'm pretty much set on the 350AWD...test drove one yesterday and it was just great. I've been researching on here for a while and the info is great. The lineup at the dealership yesterday for test cars included a 350AWD, a 430 and an LS. The wheels on the 430 looked great on the car and I mentioned to the salesman that I would ask for a swap for those wheels on the 350AWD. He seemed receptive but I'm not sure how probable it would be that the dealership would do something like that...(he also recommended avoiding the run-flats). So if they can't/won't do a swap where did you purchase your 430 wheels and about how much did they run you? Did you sell the your stock 350AWD rims or did you keep them? Thanks for the info!
