You might consider adding the following two options upon which to vote. Many folks may have done one or both of these options

I did the V5.1/V6.1 Hybrid disk NAV option.

I cut the wires for the Phone/Music Folders/Calendar option.

Here is how to do the NAV bypass without cutting wires. It does not do the DVD bypass, for that one you must cut a wire.

First.....born in Hayward, grew up in Pleasanton!!! I love the BAY.

Now: I had a guy do all the hacks and also install a Vaistech Ipod integration unit down here in So*Cal. I got his card from Lexus and he's in contract with a whole bunch of dealerships here in "Da OC"!! $750.00 bucks for everything. If thats too much.........OH WELL! Its done.........I love it.

I use the Bluetooth hack every single day, the NAV hack when its needed, and rarely the DVD override just because i havent taken my car for a roadtrip yet. Can anyone say VEGAS!!!!!

If anyone need his #........hit me up.

For the NAV hack did he put a switch in for you? If so, could you post a pic of the switch for us?

If not, how did they do the hack?

Thanks!

Is there a post directing a person how to cut the necessary wires to achieve phone/mp3/nav use-able anytime?

Yeah, he put a switch in for the Nav hack. He actually put it under the left side of the dash, below the hood release latch. the switch is hidden. He had asked me if i wanted the switch in a visable spot or try to put it near the seat heater/vent controls but since it wasnt gonna be a perfect fit, i didnt want it there. he suggested putting it outta sight in a location other customers had liked. its actually all good cuz to be honest..........i dont use it that much! its plenty accessible when needed

oh.....i tried to take a pic of the install but it totally sucked and you couldnt tell which way was forward or up, etc...
Just know its hidden and outta the way!
