Can we watch DVD's on our nav screen if we have ML and the car is not moving?

This would be on a 07' GS350..

Yes, parking brake must be on unless you do the hack.

you just need to have the parking break on and in park initially.
After you start driving and get about 5mph, even if the parkin break is on it cuts the visual off. So, at stops if you are playing a DVD you only have to hit the parking break to watch for the red light, then undo the parking break and its off, as you drive away.
There is a hack bypass for this, check other threads. It involves cutting some wires behind the dash specific to the nav and DVD viewing. Just read up.HOpe this helps.

LOL Jace7...glad I wasn't the only one doing the parking break dance before I did the mod.

So next time I see GS300/350 cruising down the street at 4 mph, I can safely assume they are watching a movie inside

Thanks I appreciate that.

To anyone who has seen a DVD play on the nav screen. How is the picture quality?

It is fine. Better than the last generation. It's not an 1080i or a 720p, but it is were decent for a cat pic. Wish it could be bigger, even more so than the new LS.
Oh well.

To answer, it is good quality, better than most aftermarket installations.
