Here is what I did to get this deal......
I knew what I wanted (wasnt expecting the wheels)
Knew how much I wanted to spend. (Cash in hand)
Spent several days talking to one sales person
Went back and both to the dealership so that I would remember my face on the showroom floor
Spoke to the same salesperson each time
Got the salesperson to introduce me to the GM
Spoke to the GM about the salesperson...High praise!
Told the GM that I had all the I;s dotted and the T's crossed
Told the GM that I am a loyal Lexus owner
GM told salesperson to PDI the car!

NO...I do not work at or for the dealership....just went there at the right time...right attitude....no games.....no trickery......straight forward......pleaded my case (price that is) and in the end......

WE WERE ALL HAPPY!

Amazing!!! You did good man, getting brand new $52k car + 20" rims for under $40k. Stuff like this never happens on East Coast

Congrats. Which Lexus dealership did you buy from and name of your sales person if you don't mind.

Great negotiation. FYI you can edit your posts so you don't have to post separate corrections.

I think you just set a new standard for negotiating! That is incredible. Great job on a great car.

Was the car already on the lot or on its way in when you got it?

First I'd like to say the car looks great and the rims really do compliment the car. They look nicely spaced in the wheel wells. Fantastic price I agree...cash in hand must have helped you out on that. Since you posted your SOLID fico score I don't forsee any problems...but...I re-read your first post and you said that you hadn't signed anything yet? Not exactly sure what this means but I know people who work in finance departments at dealerships, (although I wouldn't at all expect this from a Lexus dealership), and they can sometimes change/add something if you haven't signed the p/s agreement. Today is Monday so I assume you went back and checked it all out again...I hope all is well. Amazing looking car...enjoy it.

I love coming up with theories, here is mine. LVLEXUS dealer gave him such an unbelievable deal just so he can post on CL about it to bring more CA/NV customers into their dealership I also hope its a brand new car with zero miles and not a demo off the floor

pretty sure that a big reason he got that good of a deal was because it was an awd car. not much need for that in NV/CA.

chicago, on the other hand, is a completely different story. lol
