replacing night running light (center ones)
so the other day I was replacing the orangish light OEM, to a white light, to closer match my fogs and low beams, and I dropped the 104bulb or whatever it is, down in the reflective casing. Then I tried to get it with double sided tape, and pushed it further down, to where it fell down, kinda towards the bumper.
anyway to get it out?
what do I need to do to get to it?
It's only a $5.00 bulb, and I hear no rattle, so if it's a pain to get to, it'll stay there till I sell the car.
let me know. thanks.

Pole Position
Double sided tape on the end of a wire. Bend the wire (14 gauge would work well) so it will reach the bulb and rock the wire slightly to help the tape stick to it good and fish it out slowly. Oh put a small loop in the waire on the tape end and put the tape on that will give you more contact surface to the conture of the bulb.
If I recall SGT had a similar problem don't remember his solution though, it is posted somplace up here.

I actually just brought my car into the dealer and they were able to fish it out for me using a coat hanger and some sticky residue on the tip. However, they made a little mess and I can still see the smudge marks from the residue in the reflective housing.

didn't know how much space is down in that area, since I can't see it. 4 inches? or 1 ft wide bumper?

it's not in the reflective housing anymore, it fell into the (bumper)?? or whatever is down towards the front outside the housing... if this matters. I'll spend a few minutes tonight trying to see if I can get to it.

if you l ook really close int he housing, where the reflective plastic ends, is a 1/2 inch gap, you would never know it's there, until something small enough the 104 or whatever bulb, falls in.
All GS's have this. Look v e e r r y close. there a small, unnoticable space along the front btm. if you don't believe take your little 104's out and drop them in. They will fall towards the front b/c of the angle of the housing, then push it some more, and W o o o p s. now you've dropped it.
who know's they might be in the plastic cover underneath, who knows. Maybe through driving I already lost it. no harm.
