Default Gas milage on a 2007 GS350

I see posting of what the GS450h should be, can anybody post real world numbers of their GS350?
I havn't been to the pump yet, but so far the average is saying 17.8mpg which is way lower than what I thought. Some people say once the car has more milage that should improve by a few mpg? Is that true?

I do about 80% city driving. Meaning no long freeway driving greater than 30mins at a time.

I don't have the 350, but to give you an answer about the more milage (to a point) you have on the car, there will be a better mpg. In short YES.
During the break-in = less mpg, than after the oil has got into each nook and after the average break-in you should see a slight increasse in milage.
no clue on average mpg on the 350 though b/c I have the 450h.

I wouldn't expect your 303hp GS350 to get much different than my 2GS GS430 even though you have the six speed automatic. 18 mpg with 80% city driving is probably not too far off. I probably also do about 80% city driving, maybe 90%, and I average 18 to 20 mpg per tank full. Pure highway can easily add 5 mpg to that.

With only 600 miles on a car and 100% of heavy duty stop'n'go Jersey suburb driving (@ 35-45 mph) getting on average between 19.7 and 20.1 mpg.

twister- thats great. was it always that high? At 16.8mpg (so far on the meter. I still have about 3/4 tank full) its scaring me. I'm hardly gasing the gas, if you know what I mean.

It can be really bad (~10 MPG) if you fill up and then do nothing but one mile start and stop runs. As soon as you do an extended stretch on the highway under cruise control, it goes way up. I've gotten as much as 32.5 MPG on a 100 mile highway leg.

Shell appears to give you better mileage in the GS350 than Chevron, for whatever reason.

Damn, and I'm a Costco person. Gas in Hawaii is running $2.78 per gal.

25-26 mpg coming back home from Vegas on cruise control 75 mph. When I had my M5, had to stop half way to tank up.

Talking All Depends On The Speed

I am in DFW, during the week, I got about 20-21MPG for the city driving.

Last week I took a short trip to visit my friend in OKC, which is about 240 miles away.

On the way there I got about 27-28MPG for driving BELOW 80MPH.

On the way back I got about 25-26MPG for driving between 95-120MPH.

So it is all depends on the DRIVER AND HOW FAST YOU DRIVE!!!

Boy Hawaii must be really small. My best is 19mpg. Thats with alot of 15-20mile drives.max speed around 65mph. Around town (less than 5miles) with stop and go, I'm getting around 17-18mpg. This is sad. Mainland must do alot of far drives to pull the 24+ mpg.

That's about what I get around town, too. I have to drive legs of over 100 miles to get up over 25 mpg, but it easily gets to 29+ when I make long drives from the Bay Area to L.A. or Las Vegas.

Since you are stuck in Hawaii, I fear you are out of luck.
