my lexus dealership was 40 more per tire, but the warranty was 100 less than tire rack, so in the end it almost equalled out.....
plus I have a huge credit with lexus "free points" I might just order through them and use my points when time is right...

Are you referring to their credit card rewards program, or is this something else?

ya the pursuit card points. When I got the car, I got something like 60K for the purchase than an additional 10K b/c it was a hybrid. That's $700.00 free $$.

The program is great! I use it for my office supply purchase and I rack up $100+ a month on average. Free service for my lexus for life!

Question 17" vs. 18" wheels??

I haven't gotten my 350, although I intend to.

I hear loud and clear to avoid the run-flat tires. Now I have a related question.

How about the 17" vs. 18" tires. Are the 17" ones quieter and smoother to drive. I've got a 98 with 16" wheels. I remember trying out one with 17" at that time and thinking how much smoother the ride was with the 16" wheels.

Thoughts? Advice please.

Yes, to a certain extent. But the particular tires that you'd have on the vehicle would probably have more effect than 17" vs 18" wheels.

Hmm, this is an interesting point. I wonder if a ride quality of stock 17" w/runflats (on AWD) will be the same as with 18" (obviously lower profile to compensate for a diameter change) w/regular all-season tires?

I did mentioned before that I didn't feel much stiffness with my runflats, but now after the snow and bumpier/pothole roads, I would like to take that back That is why I wonder if stock 225/50-17 w/runflats will feel like 225/40/18 w/regular tires?

well I have to say I am happy with the run flats on my car. Since I lease it and will probably have to replace them at 20k I ended up buying an additional 4 for $400.00 total, from another clublexus member, so I can replace them instead of having to pay $259.00 with tire rack and rushing to get them fixed. I am very happy with how they handle especialy in turns....

I am happy with my current Run flats that came with the car, but I will be even happier when I can put my PS2's on.... and this dang snow melts.

Default Are the stock 17" tires on the RWD 350 runflats or not?

Also, I should point out that I live and drive exclusively in an area where it never ices or snows and doesn't rain a whole lot, so I don't need heavy duty, all-season tires here in the Silicon Valley.

I am not 100% but I do not believe they are runflats.
I believe you get a spare tire and 4 regular tires (non run flat).

the thinner the tire, the taller (17 vs 18 vs 19) the wheel the more road feel you will get.
I will eventually get probably a 19, "maybe" a 20 inch wheel.
I don't imagine I will notice anything to negative from 18 to 19, but I do imagine going up to 20 from my current 18 I will notice "more" noise and more road feel (rougher) ride.

I just wonder that if I put 20's on the car, will that look, like a car that looks lowered? or will it look as if the wheels are to big for the car....
I don't want anything ricey if I can say that withough offending anyone... I just want a sporty look. I think wheels that look to big on a car... well.... I don't think it looks good.

I really like the look of 19's and I can then get the width of the tire that I want on the 19's.... just wondering if for me, 20's are even worth it.
Add your suggestions all.

Also, anyone know of any 19's or 20's wheels that are reasonably priced? I don't want to spend a ton, but I also don't want the wheel to look cheap....

I feel like the 18" wheels that came on my GS 450 are just right size, if maybe even a little too big. Personally, I think 20" ones would look ridiculous on this car, but there's no accounting for taste.

As far as I understand (and according to all of the dealers I spoke with), the '07 awd 350's come stock with run flats - including mine.

I quickly replaced the run-flats that came with my GS450h with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s and have been running them for 8 months now. I found that the run flats had a nice soft quiet ride but didn't provide enough grip. The PS2s have awesome grip when inflated properly but are loud. If you bounce one of those big yoga ***** up and down that hollow echo-ey sound reminds me of what I hear from my tires.

You thought the run flats had a soft quiet ride? Wow! Those Pilot Sport PS2s must be one harsh and noisey ride.
