I am trying to locate a clean setup of instructions on how to make this NAVI come to life while you drive it. Can someone please let me know the proper way to disable this lock out function? I use the navi as a phone book as well as a address seeker and I can;t think of a time when I dont need it on the road.

Is there a software hack yet other than the old dvd rom version?

I was hoping someone would be able to figure this out without taking the dash apart. But I have to do what I have to do :0

this is a lease so I dont want to screw myself either. I figure if I cut a wire I can always crimp it back. thanks in advanced.

I am bummed to learn that this does not work for 2007s. Hoping someone will figure out a way to do it on the '07s!

it's not that it doesn't work on the 07's it that it doesnt work on the 6.1 NAV.
I have the 5.1 NAV in my 450h 07.
Maybe that lockpick device will come out without the cutting of wires....

we'll see.
