Thanks again for your thoughts -- totally appreciate it.

And I have voice recognition on my BMW and it totally sucks -- only correct about 50% of the time. My previous car was an Acura and it worked great. But it still found for about 95% of tasks, it was always easier to just use the touch screen...

I'm going to go have a cocktail and mull this decision some more...

Ok, only take my opinion for what it's worth...."the word of the bible". kidding.
Well the GS 450h, has some kick to it. I didn't purchase it for the environment at all, honestly, I buy for what I need/want without concern for what's around me.
anyways...
The trunk is rediculous!!! Don't get me started. I can't even put signs in the trunk. Real Estate<<<<<
The tach is a kW, so that's neat.....
The CVT is wonderful.
The instant passing/acceleration after the spool of the engine is nice.
THe AAAS, well, it's the best Lexus has to offer at the moment for a "sports" car feel. Wonderful.
I am very satisfied with the car in every aspect. The rattle I had is gone and I will atempt some mods within the weeks to come; been so busy lately.
The winters might leave you stuck, they did me for the first time in 10 years in a car this past winter. I have the stock runflats Dunlop, so that is probably my first problem, the AWD would be very nice for that situation.
But on dry pavement the 450h is levels above for handling and acceleration than the other GS'. until the new 460 then who knows.
The gadgets are fun, I'm into technology, and this is the most tech. adv car lexus makes at the moment... So I went for it. Very pleased<<< except for the trunk and the getting stuck in the snow that one time this past December.
