GS300RWD Lowered with Some Pics to Share! (56K should be ok?)
Hey guys,
Just thought I'd share some pics of my newly lowered car. Well no, it was done a few weeks ago. Just springs. They are Tanabe NF's. It was a self-install with a couple of friends and me with the help of the trusty service manual (which BTW failed to mention 2 bolts that hold each of the rear shocks to the car.).
Here be the pics:
Just the box.
What's inside the box. Think I'm gonna put those decals on the fridge.
The spring itself.
Sorry no pics of the install. I wanted to finish quick so that it wouldn't hog up the garage.
The weather's been weird lately. Nevertheless, some rainy day shots at the house.
And then, a shot of it parked next to a tree.
Lastly, a little comparison shot. Obviously, it isn't to an exact science but atleast you get little bit of an idea.
Sorry if the pics aren't that great. I'll try harder next time. LOL.
That is all.
OH.... and I want to ask (to those that have lowered already) how you have been doing with the stock shocks so far? Still running good I hope?

Thanks guys.
Yeah we did it with a floor jack and jack stands. Two wheels at a time. Front and then the rear. I'd say it took a total of 5-6 hours. Besides a regular set of sockets and wrenches, you just need strut spring compressors. I got them at Sears for 50 bucks (although you could also rent them for much cheaper).
I definitely plan on some new wheels in the future. The 18" Tourmalines look most appealing to me, but I haven't completely decided on them yet.
