GS300 Vs. GS350 (RWD Only)
Is the 350 a better buy then the 300? What are the reasons for the change to 350 from 300? Is fuel economy even noticeably less on the 350? Was the change just for more power, or were there other issues that resulted in the change? Basically is the 350 superior to the 300? Please explain.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the 350 have a better nav system than the 2006 GS 300? That would be another main difference other than the power.

Changes of significance (to me anyway) between the 2 years:
- more powerful engine (faster car) in 07
- 07 front brakes enlarged and brake by wire settings improved... stopping is much smoother in the 07 than the 06
- 07 navi system is much improved / sharper resolution

New 3.5 liter 303 HP engine - considerable improvement.
1 MPG less.
Gen 5 navigation system is a huge improvement over the Gen 4 system in the GS300. The brakes on the GS350 are far superior.
GS350 is a year newer with a lot of the minor bugs from the GS300 pounded out. It's worth getting the GS350, IMHO.

Thank you all for your input, I really like the 300 (since i was driving one around for a little while, & I just love the 22/30 gas mileage on the 300), but I think the 350 is the best one to get, other than the 1 mpg trade off, the 350 is much better since it has a lot more to offer, especially the 303Hp & the 5.7sec 0-60 is just like the 2002 Benz S55, I think it more than compensates for the 1 mpg loss. Cant wait to drive one around.

I have a 2007 gs450h, but I also have the 5.1 NAV.
Mine was about 3 weeks before the first 6.1 came out.
this might work to my benefit, b/c tomorrow when I do the DVD hack, I might not have to do the bluetooth/destination as well.
Maybe I can still just do the push button instead of installing a switch..
