Ah, someone with Mercury Metallic. I'm going to make some phone calls today. I can't tell you how upset I am about having a chip on the hood already.

Default I'll give that a shot.

Thank you very much for the information. I'll give this a try and see what happens.

Default Waterspot on 3M ClearBra

Tried the alcohol, but that didn't work. I'm just thinking of taking this off the car cause it's making it look bad.

But thanks for the suggestion.

Are the spots on TOP of the film? Or is it underneath? It's possible that it was on the car before they applied the film. Have another installer take a look first. I do get scratches on the film and alcohol was able to clean that out.

The spots looks like it's not top. I know there were no spots before. This happened few months ago, but didn't notice it unit I was waxing the car.

When you're looking at the car, is there a huge differentiation? People look at my car thinking that there is something wrong with the paint and that's when I have to explain about the clear bra. So, when they look at my car, it's a total turn off and don't want to get it for their car.

My car is so dirty from the last storm we had here in PA. I'll post some pic up later. If you look from an angle, you can see where the line is. As far as color, no difference. You should have your installer take a look. If the spot is from hard water, wax or even alcohol should take those off.

With the 3m material, I have noticed if bug juice stays on the car for a few days, it will leave a yellow mark on the clear bra after washing. After a day or so it fades and disappears. Could this be what you are seeing?

Thanks for all your suggestions. I've tried using the alcohol and wax, but the spots are still there.

I'll continue to search and see what comes up.

The best investment I made on this car so far... the line is there but you really need to find an angle to see it.

Had my ES done for $650. 3m product. Hood, full bumper, headlights covered, and side mirrors. Done at the Lexus dealer. $550 was cost. Got it for $100 over. $995 was retail. Car looks great after a winter with salt and sand on the roads. I recommend it highly.

Wow, your clearbra turned out real nice. Mine doesn't even look close to that. Mine actually has a very dull look to it. How do you maintain your clear bra? Just a normal wash or do you apply something special to make is transparent?

Thanks
