I just picked up my new GS 350. I bought it today and didn't buy any of the ad ons, including LoJack. When I got home, I noticed an owner's manual and installation certificate for LoJack in the glove box. Is it possible that they installed it in the car and forgot about it, or do they all come like that and they need to be activated by the dealer or something? My car came in yesterday and that was the date on the installation certificate. I'm wondering if I lucked out and got a frebie. Any comments?

I have the same thing in my glove box. I remember them saying something like if I don't want it, they will disable it.

I install LoJacks in Baltimore for several dealers. More then likely your car
was pre-loaded with one in the hopes that someone would buy it. I bet its
still in the car, just not activated.

Just call LoJack and give them your VIN. You can pay the registration fee
and get it activated. Someone will comeout to your location and do a FQC
on it.

It's a great feature...
I am thinking about getting it on my GS and GX.
You can track your car online that refreshes every 5 seconds/5 mintues.....
It breadcrumbs it's exact path and how long at each point.
Well worth the money, if you have some extra bucks laying around....

Are you saying that you doubt they WOULD take the cash (they wouldn't activate it), or that you doubt they would NOT take the money (they would activate it)? The ellipsis (..., meaning something was left out) has me confused.

I was hoping someone would activate it for like $200, since they don't have to put up any hardware
