so im puzzled.
I cut, and snipped... then put all wires back the way they came stock, and now I don't have turn by turn nav, or when I say home, it says not registered, and goto menu under my places...
I do that, but it never does recognise... what the hell.
Any suggestions?
The wires I have cut, are the purple and yellow, same cluster....
then the white with silver dots, from the middle cluster.
as of now they are temp. just crimped together to jsut try and see if it works as it did stock...
bah...
having problems.<<<

here is a pic of all the wire clusters....
the previous picture is from the center wire cluster...
IS THIS THE RIGHT white with silver dots wire to cut??? the btm left one.....
it's the one from the cluster with the BROWN tape......
why when I transform back to stock, can I not say home, or even register home for that matter?

Wish I could help... I'm sure someone who has done this will come along before too long and offer some advice.

Jace ... You are one brave dude cutting wires on your 60K car. Wish I could be of help. I would love to have the DVD function while the car is moving but the Hack threads are just to dam confusing to risk it. I hope someone comes to your rescue soon. Good Luck !!!

30 minutes - 3 wires - 1 switch - having your kids watch movies while driving - priceless
This is a pretty easy mod if you are comfortable working with wires but definitely can get hairy if not confident.

I'll get it worked out. I'll do this tomorrow, Sunday.
good luck to me. I'm not worried, was just frustrated, but I have come to the realization that it is "just" a car and oh well, I'll figure it out.

What did you do to get the nav smooth? Are you able to view dvds and use the phone menus? I have a 450h also. I haven't been able to do it. Can you post a step by step on how you got it all working. Is there anything that is not working.
Thanks.
Aj
Thanks.

2thfixr,
For your 2007 ES350 you might look at the following two fixes.
Enabling the NAV System Features When Driving
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...69#post2503969
Enabling access to the Music Folders, Phone Dialing, Calendar and Maintenance Menus when Driving.
