Default Help, XM Navtraffic

I just got a new GS350 loaded. I thought it had Navtraffic with the Sat radio. Does it?

I don't think Nvtraffic is available for the GS.

It's Sat ready. All you need is the tuner and wiring harness which go in the trunk. I added mine w/ the kit from Sewell for $269. Took all of about 1.5 hrs to install (taking my good ole time). I priced it out at the dealer and they wanted $750 for the parts and install.

You're talking about XM radio. But the poster asked about XM traffic. Totally different things...

XM traffic would be a great option for the GS...I hope it's available in the near future. In the meantime, I'm stuck using Windows Live Search on my Motorola Q for traffic updates.

In my area (Washington, DC) XM traffic information is provided by traffic.com, and it totally SUCKS ***! They have several roads in the area that are instrumented with sensors, but not the road that I travel on - Dulles Toll Road. I listen to the XM traffic channel for DC on XM and it's almost always wrong about conditions on the Dulles Toll Road.

You need to allow a few more years to pass for the traffic information in the US to become usable, and for the navigation systems to become smarter about reroutes.
