Default Disable seat belt ding! ding! ding! - ??

Is there a setting to disable the seatbelt ding when it is not fastened? It appears to me that if you don't have your belt fastened it dings for about 1 minute. It starts out slow, increases to rapid and then quits.

I don't drive without my seatbelt, but when going down the highway and my wife has to get something in the back seat and temporarily removes her seat belt, we could do without the noise.

Try these. It took me about 10 tries to get it to work and then I could not get it to work again. Don't know what I was doing wrong but I did get lucky and got it to work once (ha). Good Luck !

"b-off" indicates that the buzzer is OFF. "b-on" indicates that the buzzer is ON.

(A) Driver and front passenger side seat belt buzzers.

(01) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(02) Press the ODO/TRIP switch until the odometer displays "ODO".
(03) Turn the ignition switch off.
(04) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(05) Press the ODO/TRIP switch immediately (within 6 seconds) and hold it down for 10 seconds or more.
(06) Continue holding down the ODO/TRIP switch and fasten the driver side seat belt.
(07) Check that the odometer displays either "b-on" or "b-oFF".
(08) Press the ODO/TRIP switch to change the display to "b-oFF".
(09) Turn the ignition switch off.
(10) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
(11) Check that no buzzer sounds.

These instructions were posted awhile back. I had to hold down the ODO/Trip much longer than 10 seconds....more like 60 for it to work.

30 seconds to be exact, 10 seconds seems to work for GS300 but not for GS350. Yeah, you find it the hard way
