Sunroof Squeaking!
Whos sunroof cracks/squeaks?
Mine seems to do it often. Kinda light that old dash rattle, but on/in the sunroof. I took it in once time and they sprayed wd40 is smelled like, I think I need an actual lube next time, b/c it didn't take, and within 1 day it was sqweeking again.
They say this is common, the seals dry and this causes the cracking sound...
Is this a BS statement? Do any of your sunroof's crack/squeek? If so, what are you doing to resolve it or what did you do?

with no engine sound in your car at idle, you are hearing everything....
I had the same noise you described in my Acura TL. There was actually a tsb from Acura where they put clear tape all around the sunroof opening. Noise was gone after that. So far, GS sunroof has been good to me.

About once a month when washing the car I clean the rubber seals and the metal rim around the sunroof with a wet cloth.
I am not having any problems with creaking at the moment.
I think WD40 is a bad idea...

Unfortunately, this is a common problem. Had the same issue on my 2nd gen GS. I have my dealership clean/lube the seals at every service, but it's always only a temporary fix.

I think this problem has finally been solved on my car.
The dealer tried to fix the squeaking in the past, but if anything it kept getting worse.
However, a couple of weeks ago I was in for some other service and they told me there was a new lubricant for the sunroof. They applied it and my sunroof has been completely silent since. According to the service report it is called Shin-Etsu silicone. I don't know if this is really any different than what they used in the past (they said it is) but it sure worked on my car this time.

well I took in the car yesterday and they lubbed it up, so they say with silicon. As of now no squeeking. They said to keep the seal clean, it squeeks b/c of dirt. Interesting, how my car never has a speck of dirt on it and I always am careful about leaving it open.....
But I guess they said it was dirty, so they cleaned and added lube. We'll see.
