Default The party is over...Sold my GS

I am kinda sad since i really liked the car but buying a new house and a bigger mortgage made me sell the car to make room for a LESSER car payment. It was a very surreal exprience handing the keys over to the new owner...who because of me joined CLUBLEXUS!...I'll have him tell his screen name. Anyway...i know its just a freakin car and it was worth selling for the beautiful house i just bought BUT i will surely miss it. Life goes on. I still have the 1999 daily beater GS...so CLUBLEXUS all the way!!

Here is the last picture i will post to say goodbye...I took this while visiting Monterey Bay

Wow, that pic is incredible. Oh, and all that landscape stuff in the background looks nice too.

BTW, you should consider moving to Kansas City so you can have the nice house AND the GS. Either way, I feel your pain. I LOVE my GS.

Very smart move. You wont regret this decision. Getting rid of the GS is one of the best thing you can do in your situation. It's well worth it for a new home. Good luck with it

See you and raise you one - same spot, different angle.

I think other cars were parked where you are standing in your shot, so I couldn't get the car and the ocean together.

Too bad about the sale, but I'm sure you made the best choice for you.

NYlexus: I assume you are not buying a house near Monterey shore?

sbrown02: If we move to Kansas City, we probably can buy two houses and still have pocket change for another new GS...

RandalR: Which dealer did you trade in for the new GS? Haha... yours is exactly what I wanted it but at the time my GS was the only black on black available (Magnussen's) so I jumped in.

Lexus of Concord, but I test-drove an Obsidian/Ash and had to to wait two weeks to get the Obsidian/Black sent up from Long Beach. I got the car on 9/16/06, so I was one of the earliest.

I'm sorry to hear that. Oh well, the trade-off isn't all that bad...I mean, yeah, you get rid of the car but you get a house. Plus, you still have your second gen

Oh and btw that picture looks like it belongs in a Lexus catalog. Nice, very nice

Sorry..I am not trying to bump this thread or anything......

Thanks for the cool remarks everyone. This was definately a better desicion. Living in SOCAL and the Real Estate market here, i am sure the Cali people will understand. and the Kansas remark is so true...it hurts Real Estate market is no fun..especially now. At this point in my life I would rather pay a higher mortgage for a nice house where i am planing to live and raise my child then a high payment for a car....for right now anyway.

There is no way i can afford a house in Monterey Bay but for sure I will go back to Monterey Bay...unbelievably beautiful! The scenery and the car made me look like a Professional photographer.

Another CL member, WANGSTER, has bought the car and aready has put some 20's on it. You'll see him on the boards.

Now i need to purchase a $30-$35K suv (i dont like SUV's) I'll wait as long as possible.
