Performance is not exactly reduced. I think it's more accurate to say that pedal pressure is slightly increased at low speeds. With the new pads, you could lock up all 4 wheels at will, so performance is not exactly reduced. I have had them on for 3k miles and wouldn't go back to the original pads if someone paid me.

+1 Just had my installed, and what a difference. My front wheels are still shiny, I can't believe my eyes!!! I do too notice I have to press breaks a little bit harder, and they are not as grabby (still have to wear off a little bit). But, its really a small difference, performance is not sacrificed, and the outcome result is amazing!!!

my dealer ordered the pads for my wife's 250 AWD and I'll bring it in for service next week. Check with your dealer again because all ISs are qualify.

I didn't ask them, and forgot to pick up the paperwork. Should arrive in the mail soon, and I hope everything was documented. Was yours changed? I assume mine was not since I don't have that many miles on the car and my original were still in good shape, so probably only pads were replaced.

It’s hard for me to know since I had the TSIB performed at 350 miles. I looked at the rotors the day after the pads were installed and found only a few lite circular markings. I would think the pervious pads would have marked them up a lot by 350 miles. Oh well was just asking, maybe the rotor thing will be on your paper work as I lost my paper work or misplaced it.

I don't have the TSIB anymore, but the last I looked, the 2006 IS250 wasn't on the list. I haven't pressed the dealer yet on it since we haven't needed a service on the IS for awhile now, but will do soe on the next svc we have.

As far as my brake pads go, the new ones definetly help eliminate the excessive brake dust but I like the grabby feel much better on the old brake pads. I guess not really enough to want to switch back though

I'm taking delivery at the end of the month, you think I'd still need to get it done or maybe they'd already have done it?

I'll check with the salesperson.

^ it will not be done unless you request it. Tell them to do it upon delivery. Or better yet, keep the original one and change it a few weeks later Than you really going to appreciate it!!!

Since I'm getting tint/clear bra installed at the dealer, I might as well fax them the TSIB so it gets done before I take delivery w00t w00t!

For those who wish to keep the brakes with dust,
a little "Wheel Wax" helps a lot! Used it on my BMW's with at least 50% reduction in dust sticking to the wheels. fwiw.

Got it done, no dust now, and the pedal feeling is a little more firm, and maybe a tad less progressive, but I do not think that the braking performance are reduced.

I thought I would add an update. After 5k miles, the new pads feel every bit as grabby as the original pads. When the dealership installed the low dusting pads, they did not resurface the rotors. I didn't have time to go back so I just let them "bed" in. I had to give a tad more brake pedal pressure to slow down from moderate speeds but at around 4k they started to improve and now they are the same as the old pads. Moral of the story, get your rotors resurfaced when you get your new pads boys.
