Gator i went to the dealership to disable the DRL, LPS and also complaint about the brake dust issues. No questions asked and they will replace it under the TSIB, but they couldnt change the brake pads on the same day because they were extremely busy on that day. My service advisor took me to their appointment dept. and setup a date for me to go back and have the pads replace. I'm going back in two weeks

FWIW, had the dealer perform the TSB a couple weeks ago on my '07 and brake dust is minimal (a vast improvement from the original pads). On the highway doing 75 mph+, there is minimal difference braking hard (I could feel the original pads grip the rotors). That doesn't mean the new pads provide more stopping distance (and if they do, I doubt it will result in a matter of life or death). 99% of the time it's how you modulate the brakes.
The new pads work great. Get the TSB done with no worries.

Agreed. The beauty of looking at your wheels not covered in dust is priceless.

I did the swap out, and resurface of all roters awhile back (5K miles) and overall I couldn't be happier.
Honestly I noticed a difference that actually made me consider putting the old ones back on, when stopping was taking into consideration.
The old pads, orriginal ones, stoopped on a dime, and reacted alot better.
Initially I was able to notice it immediately.
After a few weeks, I probably just got used to it and not I don't notice it.
BUT I do find these new pads to be a little "softer" feel, meaning slower break.
The other were so sensitive which I loved and I wish I could have the best of both worlds.
BUT you can't not with the OEM pads, so in the end I would rather my wheels stay looking nice, while only sacrificing a "little" bit of sensitivity.
Would recommend it, but in my mind if you want the BEST BREAKING no matter the amount of break dust, stick with the originals, but if you care about break dust, the sacrifice isn't that significant to most, so I would recommend the change.

Had the TSIB done a while ago. My brakes started squealing about a month ago. Mostly after the car has been sitting for a while. It's a bit humiliating to roll up in front of people in the Lexus and have the brakes squeal. Has anyone else had this? When I mentioned it on the phone to service, he simply said, "Hmm. You had the TSIB done, right?" I'm supposed to take it in next week for reg. maintenance.
