"the hks stays below 93 dB, the stock one is about 85-90 dB. hp gians are about 5-6 rwhp, thats to the wheels"

Louis e-mailed me ths response when I asked him. If it is quiet inside it does not matter to me how loud it is outside. My 4runner has a Borla exhaust and intake and has excessive cabin sound......it is a truck though not a lexus so I don't mind

Okay, I installed it this morning...

At ldle... it's quiet in the cabin and has a very low rumble outside.

Going down the road... It's not loud inside the cabin but there is a droaning starting at 1.5 through 2.5 rpms and a little bit of vibration in the center console at about 1.75 - 2.0 rpms.

Can't tell you how it sounds at speed with the windows open right now because I just had the car tinted on thursday and can't roll down the windows yet.

Overall, as far as I can tell, it sounds very close to the IS350 HKS Hi power videos on the youtube website, except a little quieter at idle.

I hope the droaning goes away after the break-in period.

Thank you, wingster.

I usually drive with my windows closed more than 90% of time... as long as it's not loud in the cabin at speed, it won't be loud outside.

Not sure what you mean by droaning... and you mean the exhaust will shake center console? I did not get it, help?

droaning... sort of a very low constant resonance/reverberation/humming.

The exhaust shakes (very minor) the whole car but is most noticable at the center console. I must emphasize very minor.

I jumped on the wagon and ordered the exhaust. I second most things on wingster's posts except I did not observe the vibration. Although the "droaning" on my GS350 is between 1.3K ~ 2.3K and I do wish it goes away or drops down as time goes on. Otherwise, I think this is a pretty good purchase.

Lookin sharp, memasterac.

My Tanabe droan mellowed a little bit from original install over the course of 2K miles, but it will never completely go away... and that's the point IMO, to hear these engines as they do their thing.... I like a little sound.... btw, I have never had any shakes or rattles w/ mine... not sure what that is all about w/ the HKS install.... maybe something in the back of that car is not 100% fitted or is touching someplace, causing vibration? weird....

Yeah I'm not sure either... I need to crawl back under there and figure it out.
One thing I noticed was that I have the dreaded HKS driver side tip is lower than passenger side syndrome. It not as straight as Memasterac's exhaust.

Memasterac... did you use hose clamps... or did it line up perfect that way?

Mmmm, nothing I know of when doing a cat-back exhaust mod. Maybe when you do something like
the air intake, but not for exhaust.
