Default GS 350 AWD Purchase

Question:

Does everyone have had to order a GS350? Is this really the case? Is this car really hard to get? Also do most of these come with Nav? That is the one option I don't want or need.

Thanks in advance

I've seen several here in MD/VA, but not many. It looks like the dealers don't want to keep lot of them in stock. The dealer has told me that the stock is low because it's selling like *hot* cake, but willing to deal like dropping $3500 off MSRP on in-stock GS's. Something is fishy....

I couldn't find one I like, Black with Black and no Nav. They say Lexus is putting Nav on almost all GS's these days, Lexus doesn't build Black/Black/No Nav anymore....

You really have to inquire from your local PA/NJ/NY dealers. Back when I got mine in November, they only had 2 on a lot and only one was like I wanted without NAV (and I could care less about ML). Afterwards, I heard there has been a huge shortage of GS on East Coast. Keep in mind, East Coast ONLY gets AWD models, so maybe they're cutting down on those? It seems that nobody on West Coast or Florida area complaining about shortage of RWD. Wait time is probably longer than expected for GS350, and also sale numbers are waaaay down (which could only be explained by cut down production to shift more resources toward hot selling RX and ES).

Maybe a nice REBATE would fuel GS sales.

In Jan. one dealer told me I'd have a 3 month wait. Another dealer was willing to grab one that was on it's way to another dealer (a 1 month wait). A third dealer had one on the premises. I haven't checked w/my dealer lately to see what the GS situation is.

Everyone,

Thanks for all the info. I'm going Saturday for a second test drive. I am kinda picky on the color and options so it sounds like a wait if I decide to go with the GS350.

Thanks again

The large dealerships in MA get large numbers of GSs every
month (probably all of them AWD).

Default Gs 350

Well two fact are for sure ......... there are NO RWD GS 350's on the East Coast......... It a Lexus Demograph thing ( they figuare a Rear Wheel Drive won't work where there is serious winter weather and all the Ice Storms we get!) But the Good news is that I have 17 on the ground right now........ The second thing that is fact is the Availability of Blk/Blk .......... I have a Blk exterior with an Ivory interior and MV= Mark Levinson /Nav...........

But, what you might be interested in, is a Mercury Metallic w/Black Interior Leather and NO NAV... Spoiler and Ventilated Seats also......... I have one of those on the lot also........... to order one in will be about a 60-90 day wait since all the GS's are still made oversea.

FYI: The 2007 is at a Model Year end and the availability is what has been stock piled by Lexus ......... They will soon start up the factories to produce the 2008 GS which is set to arrive at the dealerships in Late August and early September ................ That why the number of available GS 350's is so low........

Need more information on this let me know ................ Talk Soon

TQ

Talk about slow selling....supposedly Countyline Lexus in Hollywood Florida has a brand new 2006 GS300 AWD no nav ML in stock. Yes, that's correct, its a 2006 300 and its in Crystal White. Now that's surprising.

If you've worked with LEXUS as long as I have you begin to notice that every year there is one color in one model that hangs on a lot forever. In this case it's the Chrystal White 06..........it also depends on the dealership! If they don't have the traffic like we have in Northern Virginia ( DC area) a unit could last a couple of years......... But, I'll bet you they have a terriffic sale price on that one.

Tom,

The Mercury Metallic one you have sounds just like the one I'd want if I decide on the GS350. Who knows maybe my dealer here in PA may end up trying to get it from you. One more test drive and I should know.
