IMO, 18" OEM is just fine... definitely one of the best wheels.

dont do 22's you will kill the ride, 20 is the most, with some good coilovers or springs u will just fine, the ride may geat a little stiff but is nothing to go crazy for, it will ride just fine, drop-it u will not regret, i was in your shoes once trust me i know.

20's are the largest I'd go on this car.

I've seen 2 3GS on 22's and honestly, they didn't look as bad as I thought they would. The car does have enough girth to not look rediculous. I talked to the owner of one. He said there was absolutely no rubbing. I didn't believe him but I can't call someone a liar. The tires were super low profile and he said it rode fine. Lowering was out of the question and it didn't need it anyway. IMO, the wheels were too big but this was a young kid who was into the bling. His girlfriend was super hot and he was blinged out in chains and rings. Everything matched.

Bottom line, I wouldn't do it. I have 19's on my 3GS but wish I had done 20's. I wouldn't go over 21.

Personally 19" but do go larger than 20"s
The tires are expensive and your comfort will be lost.

of all the days to leave my phone in the car...

i was on south beach this past saturday and saw a 3GS on 22's, black on black with black 22's and a polished lip. it was a staggered set-up to. it looked very very good, the car really impressed me because as most of you said, 22's was a no go. this was an exception.

also there was a black LS460L on sobe parked with 22's...rim choice was horrible, non-staggered and chrome 22's it looked like they pulled up to a rim shop and chose whatever could fit bcuz the car was 10 days old (said the paper tag)

if i ever decided on rims, it would have to be 19's or 20's--they are ideal for the 3GS, but like i said...sometimes an exception comes along and you second guess yourself

nothing beats the look and stun of a lowered big body lex on 20's...you know why...cause you can't lower a lexus sedan on 22's AND STILL DRIVE...

the lex on 22's looks pretty lame... no taste.. no class...

dropped on 20's.... gangsta... not the biggest wheel on the road, but a good lookin' combination of style and class.

20's without drop is a no no as well though... I'm not for the high rider look....
