Maybe Im retarded but what the hell is tire noise? When you're driving how do you hear your tires? This is the oddest complaint I've ever heard.

I guess more acurately, road noise that is inordinately loud, produced by the tires.

I've been running a set of Khumo ASX for about 4000 miles. Very quiet and good ride........so far.

Goodyear Assurance Comfertred/Tripletred or Yokahama Avid H4S are the quietest I have ever had.

I have Yoko Advan's on and so far they're good, but then I only have 400 miles on them.

Wonder if my dealership would swap them out if I complain about road noise?!

I know from experience if not placed you will hear more tire on road noise and outside noise intrusion in the car than if they had been installed.

I recently bought a 2007 GS350 in August 2021 with 100k and suffer from extreme road noise. I have a hard time believing this is normal. Wind noise is minimal. But road noise is crazy loud. The car came with Michelin pilot sport AS 3+ tires but were old and I replaced them with kumho ecsta tires. Same noise level nothing changed. I did take your word and checked under the body and found 3 plugs missing in the frame rails 1 on passenger side 2 on driver side. I don't know how these 3 missing plugs could cause this much noise. But I ordered the 3 plugs and will install them and hopefully they are the culprits and will provide an update. 🙂

Could you provide a link to the plug you purchased? I thought the only plugs that are available are for bung holes and wine bottles.

Part number is "90950-01959 PLUG HOLE" (specific to ES350 models) but I hope this points anyone who needs it.
