I'm the proud owner of a new GS350. This forum is great! I have already found a couple of really useful hints.
So here is my question. The car will warn me about any number of things, like "moonroof open". How come there is no warning beep if I leave my headlights on? It seems like a strange oversight. Am I missing something? Is there supposed to be a warning and mine isn't working?
I know someone is already thinking just leaving them on Auto. The trouble is they don't always come on if there is poor visibility (fog/rain) during the day.

Figures. I've left the headlights on a couple times, but I noticed right away and went back and turned them off. I just tried leaving them on, and sure enough they turned themselves off 30 seconds after closing the door. The owner's manual even says so, but I just assumed that meant only in Auto mode. The last car I owned Auto would turn them off, but On meant say on forever.

if you leave your lights in "on" mode.. and then get out of your car and then push the lock button on the fob twice, it will actually turn your lights off for you.
