How do i remove the subwoofer? and can someone show me pictures of where the amps are? And would there be any problem with the head unit if i hook it up to a aftermarket amp and subwoofer.

amp is behind the rear seat rows the system is digital so the souce unit is just a big remote for the amp. You need to switch out both or go post amplification. Electrnically you cannot put an aftermarket amp just behind the source unit. If you have any further questions just ask.

Yes, you can add a new amplifier to drive the sub--tapping the existing sub's amplifier signal. I did this as shown here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=272881 .
What's a Q switch?
If you bypass the ML amplifier, and you want surround processing, you will need a separate processor to do that, such as from Alpine or Harman. The head unit only outputs stereo, or from DVD, the Dolby Digital or DTS encoded bitstreams. If you just want stereo to drive multiple pairs of speakers, there's many ways to get there.
The OEM amp is located in the trunk, on the right side, under the floor mat.
