Anybody want to trade?
I have a new 07 gs350 with the black interior. I really wanted to get the gray interior at the time, but no one had it. Is there anyone in California around the bay area that would be willing to trade interiors? Keep in mind that my interior is in perfect condition. The car is 2 months old. So if someone is willing to trade, please understand that i would be wanting your interior to be in the same condition. thanks!

This has got to be the weirdest question I have ever seen posted on a car forum. Waja going to do? Rip out the interiors of two new cars and void the warranties of both? Geez.

Why would changing interior panels void the warranty? As long as it's done properly and nothing is damaged in the process, the warranty on both cars will be fully intact.
It's not all that hard either. Complete stereo system installs usually entail removal of most, if not all interior panels anyway. It's routinely done w/o damage or voiding any warranty.

hey thanks alterzgo. i am just asking, so if anyone is willing to make this trade just shoot me a pm. i own 5 cars that are all modified and i have worked on plenty of other cars. so i do know that changing the interior does not void the warranty. and also it is not hard to do at all. if you think about it, there arent even that many pieces that needs to be swapped out.the seats, door panels, center console piece with the arm rest and the steering wheel. i know it might seem weird to ask of this, but i just thought i would give it a try. thanks.

I am Interested!!!
Dear dwp05acura,
I am actually opposite of your choice, initially when I special ordered my GS350 GFM with Black interior. After 5 months of waiting, ended with GFM with Ash interior.
My toy is about 6 months old, only used for work, so interior is in perfect condition. I am really interested in doing interior exchange, as long it does not void the warranty.
Please let me know how we gonna do that, thanks.

How long does it take to do the swap? Two of my neighbors did a similar swap (had it done by a third party) and it took two days. I wasn't sure if that's fast, slow or typical.
It does not void any warranty as you are only talking about OEM for OEM etc and nothing is really 'modified'. I had my SC430 swapped (was out of town for a week so I don't know how long it really took) and no problems from the dealer who noticed and just said "nice".

slk dds- hey buddy. i wouldnt mind swapping out the interior with you. unfortunately you are in texas. i wanted to swap with some one closer to where i am from so i wouldnt have to hassle with the distance. i did check with 2 seperate dealers and the both said that the swap would not void the warranty since its all oem parts. if i find of an easier way to swap with you i will definitely let you know. thanks!
ksu flasher- hey there. 2-3 days is slow to swap out the interior. i am sure though that the shop you took it to did not spend 2-3 days on it. they were just probably working on your stuff while working on other things as well. i can swap out the interior of my car into another car in about a few hours. as long as there are no modifications needed.
