Rear Window Creeking?
Wondering if anybody else have/had this problem? I have a creeking sound/rattle coming from the rear window surroundings that comes and goes. It was really loud yesterday whenever I would go over any type of slight bumps, but not too noticeable today. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem and there is a TSIB for it.
Basically it is the back window clips rubbing on the frame of the car.
Took car in to Newport Lexus and they pop out the window, shave down the clips, and problem solved.
They had never heard of the problem so find the TSIB before you head in as your dealer may do what mine did and blame it on something else.

That's exactly it!! My '06 IS 250 was doing the same thing since Spring began
when it was sunny and temps were above 50F.
It started out as a loud tick/pop when driving over bumps or uneven pavement.
After a couple of weeks the sound turned to a creak. And after a few more
bumpy rides, it's now gone. I had a Lexus tech ride with me, he heard it but
it was faint, the sound had diminished over time. I'd say monitor it for a few
weeks/month and see if the noise changes.

That sound is the window clips rubbing...sometimes you can make it go away by running over a speed bump.
Not every dealer even knows this is a TSIB so save yourself from going psycho from the noise and get it in.

I've had the exact same noise and it sounded like it was from the rear but it was from the sunroof. they cleaned out some dirt and lubed the rubber seal and the noise was gone. I still have other creaks else where though.
The first moron of a technician initially tried to dismiss it by saying it's just a normal creak due to unibody construction of the car. I thought most cars are unibody. some of these techs **** me off sometimes...
