Was at Newport lexus today getting some things done and had an 07 ES loaner with the new nav software and screen.
I have a 06 GS 430 and use the nav override (speaker, bottom corner, etc.) all the time so the first thing I do when I get in the ES is get to the speaker menu and perform the overide so I can enter in while driving.
It worked just like mine.
I recall seeing some posts about the 07 GS not being able to do this???
So the ES can do it but they locked out the GS people? Just curious.
Seems like the nav would all be the same...
On another note, I hate my nav screen compared to the newer versions.

Got it.
I did not search but that really blows becasue I would be pissed without this feature.
There has to be a way for service to get to it for on road tests, it seems we have not found this person yet...

Negative-
The '06 had a gen 4 nav screen which looks fine until you see the gen 5.
I believe this is for all the GS models, I do not know about the others...

^^^ Gotcha. My 06 IS has the GenV Nav with the 5.1 firmware, so I have the best of both worlds
The 07 IS has the 6.1 firmware, so they no longer have the Nav override function . . .
