Default mpg on AWD GS 300 ('06)

For those who don't drive on the highway often and have AWD GS 300 (06), what avg mpg do you get on the car screen? I;m getting ~ 18.3mpg and I heard it's usually 21-23 mpg (city) and 25-27 mpg (highway).

I will check my computer when I drive home and post my results later tonight. I recall I was running in the low 20's though overall avg.

I am running at 26.8 MPG - Mainly highway driving though - 72 miles per day (36 miles each way) to work and back - no traffic to speak of - and just 1 toll both but I have EZ pass so I just slow down to 20 mph. Wondering what others are getting?

You have to slow down for EZ pass?!

When I'm down in Houston I just fly through it at normal speed, everyone does!

Toll booth is in NH - must go through 20mph or less - or they will take a pic of your plate and ticket you - so much for the 'Live Free or Die' state

I average 24-25mpg in a mixed drive (52 miles a day - 20-30 on the highway). When I go on trips long distance I usually get 28-30mpg (highway for 380 miles straight). Any help? ;-)

Wow...

Still better than having to stop and pay though!

I am getting 23 in the city and almost 28 on the highway with sometimes much above that even at 80 MPH. I have a GS300AWD. Gas mileage was terrible in the first 1-7 months at around 17-23, now its between 22-28 at 10 months old.
Heres a picture of my best gas mileage overall on the highway at 75-80 mph with a little city driving for almost 40 miles.

Two things, one my dash computer is 1.5 mpg off, and sadly too high, 26.5 means I am actually getting 25. Two, for some reason, mileage improves a lot when the outside temperature is above 65-70 and when the car is driven more than 30 miles. On long trips, the mileage is phenomenal, even at 65, averaging almost 30 mpg (actual) -)

is mileage supposed to get better after break-in?

i know this is about the AWD.

But my 350 rwd only gets 23-24.x mpg 90% highway.

I have averaged either 25.4 (calculated by the car) or 24.3 (calculated by me) over 17,000 miles. My driving is mostly commuting, about 30 miles each way through New York City, so it's a mix of highway and stop-and-go.

Highest I've seen on one tank is 30.7/29.9 on a 300+ mile highway trip.
Lowest was 21.3/20.6.

The mileage jumped about 2mpg after the 15K service, I'm guessing the new air filter made the difference.

Agree that the mileage is better in the warmer weather (less warmup time for the catalytic converter, so idle/mixture drops back to normal quicker?).
