Here’s what the latest edition of Motor Trend with the new car buyer’s guide had to say about the 2008 GS
What’s New: Big changes for the entire GS series, headed by the new GS 460 that replaces the GS 430 and packs a 342hp/4.6L V-8. On the hybrid front, the GS 450h adds a positive VDIM/VSC cutoff. All GS models get revised front fascias, wheels, and colors plus numerous interior trim tweaks including new gauges. The GS 460 also boasts heated/ventilated seats.
Best Buy: Packing a 303 –hp V-6 and a megadose of luxury features, the GS 350 and GS 350 AWD deliver impressive luxury at an attractive price.
I'm glad I held out for 90 days and got an 08 versus an 07. However, I am ready to get my car now

Not Yet
Nothing yet and there probably won't be until the new models arrive. Manufacturers and dealers are afraid to tell us anything that might make even one person wait a month or two and not buy what they have on the lot right this minute.

2007 vs 2008

I would have waited for the 08's except for a couple things. We wanted GFM and we kept hearing that color may be discontinued for 2008. That has not been confirmed yet and may be totally incorrect info. We will see. Also, we had sold my wife's car and she was not willing to wait and see if the changes to the 2008's were more pleasing to her eyes. She wanted her car now and I wanted her to be happy so we bought the 07. Everybody's situations are different.

Just bought an 07 GS 350 (awd, nav, black sapphire, cashmere) yesterday, it comes in next week. According to the dealer, the 08's (350's anyway) won't have any new colors and just a few minor cosmetic changes - of course, he probably was steering me away from the 08's because he wanted to unload the 07. BTW, mine will not have run flats . I was told the 07's being delivered now and in the last few weeks don't have the RF's.

Hi. I am new to the forum and just bought a 07 G350 AWD a week ago. I searched the internet and learned few more details on the 08 change. I forgot where I saw it but I remember the details.
They are moving the fuel door and trunk release button out of the button cluster. I think that's a very good idea. I am still getting used to opening the door so I could pop the fuel door or trunk. I think the whole idea of this is bad as they are not doing it on IS, ES and LS.
Revised center wood trim around the gearshift gate area. I bet it will look more like IS and new LS. I knew they have to redesign it as it looks so outdated compare to IS.
Revised outside mirror to incorporate the turn signal.
Revised front bumper and gril and rear tail light.
Revised assist grip: not sure what this is.
new wheels, colors (some new gold and silver color, can't remeber the exact name or code) and gauge cluster as previously mentioned. Gauge looks fine to me...
Hope some of these changes could be retroffited to earlier car.

I just pray they don't do like MB and BMW and put in those round fog lights in chrome, and that chrome line going towards the center. It seems that's the trendy thing to do, and IMHO looks cheap on a luxury car.

Well, my Dealer just called. My car is scheduled to arrive about mid October. There is one coming in two weeks earlier without the sunshade that they offered to me, but I decided to wait. I've waited this long. What's an extra two weeks. The new 08 GS should hit the lots around end of September.
