Thumbs down key/memory seat sync

I have sync'd the keys to me and my wife's memory settings but see no change in seat positions when entering and starting the car. If we press the door buttons everything is fine but whats the syncing supposed to do? How is this supposed to work?

I just checked mine in the manual and verified this.

If you unlock the car with the remote and open the door after syncing 2 seat memories to both remotes, you should see the seat/mirrors move after you open the door.

Thanks. I was hoping you didn't have to touch the remote, just unlock the door with your hands but I guess thats not the case.

O... That I didn't try yet.

This is from the manual:
"Memorized driving positions can be recalled when you unlock the
driver’s door using the entry function or wireless remote control and
open the driver’s door. Steering wheel position is recalled when the
engine switch is set to the “IG-ON” mode."
