After moving to the south I no longer need the front license plate. After awhile I couldn't stand how the license plate frame destroyed the beautiful look of the GS's front end. So, I had the dealer fill the license plate holes and refinish the bumper. I'm so glad I did! Attached is a pic of the newly finished front end.

Thanks guys. For you NC and SC people, I had it done at Hendrick Lexus in Charlotte and the price was $375. The work also included fixing the stone chips too. They've been very good to me.

Attached is a picture of the old bumper with my Mooresville plate.

Man, that looks so much better.

I wish Mass had kept the old system where green plates did not require
a front license plate... I would say that looks 100 times better.

Yeah I'm really tired of having that sh|t on my front bumper! I've been pulled over for it in my a few of my older cars. It's just not worth giving them a reason to pull you over.

Guys, I live in CA and I never been pulled over with my GS without a license plate! The trick is to have the Lexus Dealership sticker on the left front of your windshield. This works great for luxury cars because the sticker and paper of registration acts like a replacement for the front license plate. Try it! It also worked on my previous car too.
