Ive never really seen wheels like the 1st ones (which i like that idea) and how much different from each other do any 5-spokes look?.. really?? I dont want there to be two of my cars that look identical. or see another car that looks like mine rollin' down the street!! the 5's seem kinda plain or common IMHO. Sorry
about the chrome thing....most people dont agree with me on this one but to me it yells "LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK AT MY WHEELS!!!" I dont like that.

Wheels almost here and I decided to look through this old thread again. I realize I forgot to say something about the "Look at me" thing.
Big chrome wheels do cause a more visual affect. For me the number one thing is individuality, no stock look. Second, to have the car look good. Third...why spend thousands just to blend in. I want to show it off a little. Everyone who mods wants that. Don't deny it. At least do it with some perceived class imo. Not gaudy just shiny. I have changed something on every car I've ever had starting in high school in 1974, my first car. Maybe I'll stop one day but I hope not.

The new wheels look nice, can't wait to see pics of it on the car. Did you decide what tire size your going to run?

Yep, ordered 245-35-20. When I compared diameters, 245-30 was the same as the stock wheels and that's way too small for me. The 245-35 is only about 2 mm more than the 245-40-19 I had on the car. That's nothing. Should be okay. Plus, the guys at Goodroads thought 245-30 was too small too. I didn't even say my opinion before my salesguy said, oh no, that's too small. Since that's also how I felt, I went with it. We'll see.

I do have a drop and will probably have some rubbing until the tires wear down a bit. Just hoping the rubbing is minimal.

Hopefully tomorow is the day.
I have a bummer though. I ordered Bridgestone RE960's from Goodroads. Twice they did not show and I'm pissed. Now I have to try getting something for this weekend or wait until next week. Called a local TireKingdom and all they could get me by Fri is Falken 452. I tried the older model Falkens twice and they were crap. These new ones may be better but I'm afraid to try them. Anyone have experience with these tires?

Well, the wheels came. I'm disappointed because they don't look the same as the pics. Looks like everyone uses 22's for the advertizing and the 20's look different. They aren't ugly or horrible but I like slim long spokes. Not fat stubby spokes. Looks like a flower petal.
I don't know what to do. Send them back and lose 25% plus shipping charges. Sell them at a loss. Or just suck it up and use them for a while.
I really want a set of Sevas Forged, too.

Sorry to hear that.Maybe the guys at good roads can help you out if you bought the wheels from them..If you do go with another set of wheels you could run a 9 or even a 9.5 all around with a +35 offset..You will have to run a 245/35/20 to help with clearance but the tire will look good..With these specs you can still get some nice lips and still rotate..

Well, I'm back at home with a second look at the wheels. They look better than my first impression. Still not like I imagined looking at the pics. The company sales pitch was that these were the superlip technology wheels. I knew the 8.5 width would not be like the 9.5 but this looks like less than what I was told. It has a stepped lip look. I don't like stepped lips, they make the wheel face look smaller....which is the problem with these.

On the positive side, you can see the chrome over forged look. The look of quality. I don't have a scale but they don't appear too heavy. I really wish they didn't have the fake rivets but they aren'y ugly, just out of place. I didn't mind them on a cheap wheel but a forged expensive wheel shouldn't have to fake it.

You know, I hated my Maya GR5's when I saw them. Took about 2 weeks then it hit me I had one of the sweetest wheels on the market. That won't happen here but I may come to like them. I'll give it a couple days before attempting to mount them then decide what to do. They aren't too bad though. Pics coming up...after Voyager goes off.

Here we go, a few pics of the Lorenzo Forged WL12 wheels.
It's okay to be honest about your opinion.
