2008 model vehicles officially roll out at the beginning of September. There currently is a 2008 model already out...the RX350/400h.

GS460...I will elaborate in a couple weeks.

The 'facelift' goes into effect on the 2008 model, correct?

Yes in traditional Toyota/Lexus 5 year model cycle, the 3rd year receives the minor facelift/update.

I think you meant to say Lexus typically does the facelift in the 4th year, not 3rd year. But since the all-new 2006 GS came out very early, maybe Lexus figures the updates should happen sooner.

I bought my 07 GS on the last day of Sept and I was told that the GS350 had been released 2-3 weeks prior. I would put my money on early Sept.

So we have this car, supposedly coming out in a mere 5 weeks ... 30 some days ... a little over a month, and not a peep, not even a hint of a peep from the manufacturer. Call any dealer with questions? Denial, ignorance is your reply.

I find that to be surprising, amazing, and even a little disturbing.

Yes, I stand corrected. 3rd year powertrain/option updates, 4th year exterior/interior update. Because the 2nd gen GS' 7 year span and the really awkward/unconventional early release of the 3rd gen GS, a refresh of any sort is needed to keep this generation GS alive. We've been with the 2006 GS since February of 2005.
