Default Yet another tire question...

I expect to take delivery of my new GS350 in a couple of weeks. The dealer is allowing me to swap out the factory Yokohama Advan Tires with something of equivalent value. They have offered Dunlop Sport Maxx's. Does anyone have any experience with these? Is there something else better for about an equivalent cost? Should I leave the Yokohamas on there?

Thanks in advance!

Don't get the Yokohamas. They are terrible. Go with Michelin PS2. Good luck.

Default Tire recommendation

I spoke to a dealer rep and he said the one he would use is the Michelin Pilot HX MXM4's. If you have a spare I would not get the run flats in any tire. They are noisy.

does anyone have a list of recommended Lexus GS 350 tires? According to my dealer, some tires aren't recommended like the PS2.

Why not? Because they don't sell them?

I don't pay attention to any info from a dealer anymore. The parts department at my dealer told me that Tirerack only told factory reject and blemished tires.

I told the dealer that I wanted the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's, and they were able to do an even swap with the Yokohamas. I chose them based on the high reviews of this website. I don't have the car yet, so I can't comment on them, but I'm sure I'll be happy!

Quick note:
Initially my GS has pulling issue and "Advan A10B" noise issue, so after so many time of alignment and tire/wheel rotations, they replaced my Advan A10B with PS2, about three months ago.

Two days ago, my service advisor had asked me to bring my GS in. He told me that Lexus HQ had send someone over to look at my GS again, trying to solve the pulling issue.

Conclusion, "the specialist" told them to replaced my tires with different Michelin, and that should solve the pulling issue. The only explanation I got from him was that PS2 is not approved by Lexus.

This is my 3rd pair of shoes for my GS in less than a year, I think my GS is getting spoiled!!!
