Default driver's seat comfort... not good

So i drove the car for about 2.5 hours, I gotta say the seat comfort isnt that great. The seat felt stiff and not supportive. I've never had an issue with my previous BMW, I could sit in those seats for hours with no issues.

Seat comfort is a very subjective matter. To me, the seats are very comfortable. Just this past weekend, I spent nearly 8 hours on the hwy and I have no complaints. Just play around with the controls until you find a seating position that works for you.

I think it's all a matter of getting used to something different. The first few times we drove a GS my wife kept comparing everything to our BMW and was having trouble getting comfortable in the seat, didn't like the road feel, didn't care for the ride, didn't like the feel of the steering wheel and so on. After 2 weeks she absolutely loves everything about the car. She has been on the road for 2-3 hours and says the seats are more comfortable than the BMW, thinks it handles better, rides better, and the topper was Friday night on the way to dinner she was caressing the top of the steering wheel at a stop light. I asked her if she was getting used to the wood steering wheel. (She was really against this part of the car, having had a full leather wheel on the last 3 vehicles) She told me with this bedroom look in her eyes- "Oh, I love this steering wheel" Go figure.

I hate the seat. still cant get it just right. first day I had it I came home with a back ache. no cushin(sp) if you ask me. Try sit in a '07 ES. The seats have 2x the material. Its way comforatble. and it has all the same controls as our seats.

She let me drive it back to her work to swap vehicles today after I waxed it. She won't let me drive it much, however she has been unusually happy lately.

Drove almost 6 hrs the other day and had a stiff back the next day... now I've sat in airplane seats for longer than that, and not had any back problems. Perhaps I'll try some different adjustments.

I noticed when I first drove my first long distance (1300 miles in two days) that I wasn't fatigued at all. I think the seats are great.

Well most people in the US are overweight, could that be the problem???

Can't blame Lexus for that one.

OUCH!!! SAD but TRUTH!!!

Compare between IS (too firm), GS (just right), and ES (too soft)... IMO, GS is samck in the middle!!!
