Default What is the deal with the 08's?

So I am thinking that waiting for an 08 GS350 will not be a bad thing, my question is when will they be ready to order? They are currently 5,700 off the price of a GS350 with nav/ML but I essentially loosing an entire year of the cars value for only 5,700 dollars. I like the car in it's current configuration but I am curious if I ordered a new one when I could stop fussing and start driving.

Since the changes are minor, unless you're buying the car for 'someone else' or bragging rights of having an '08, the deals on the '07s are just too damn good to pass on.

Whether an '07 or '08, the car will be new to you. I say get the '07 and set aside the money you saved ($2..3..4,000+) for a rainy day.

The minor changes might be nice. On the other hand what if the charges to the front end, tail lights, and wheels are less pleasing to you? That's what we came up with. Liked everything about the 07 and didn't want to gamble on what the changes to the 08's will be. Nobody has any pics yet so who knows. The deals on the 07's are good. Just my opinion.

NO matter what they do to the GS it will not be significantly more popular, hence in a month after the release, same discount off MSRP, give or take a grand will be had. Go back and review the 350 price thread, huge discounts were given right off the bat. Get an 08.

Unless you live Hawaii with one dealership. Sorry, had to add that in. I'm envious of you guys with the big discounts.

what he said.

they'd be stupid to not give fat discounts. it's not like it's gonna be in limited supply. they've got boatloads of 08s probably waiting to be shipped already.

maybe the changes will be more appealing?

never know.

and they wouldn't be "stupid" to give fat discounts... how are dealerships supposed to stay in business if they give fat discounts after a month of arrival for a new model year?

Be patient. Wait until December and buy an 08 for the same price as an 07 today. You'll have the latest and greatest for the same money.
