congrats! I had to argue for weeks and make multiple calls and they still made me feel like they were doing me a favor since tires should be covered by tire manufacturer. How many miles do you have on your car?

The tires are noisy and start feathering around 5K miles.

Did this get handled thru your selling dealer or did you go straight to corporate?

OK, wait. Whats the whole argument about the tires that come with the car? They make noise or that they wear bad? I thought these are sport tires (I have the summer tires, the 18in 245/something) and we're stuck to whatever they give us? I mean, if someone sells you a hamburger with Huntz catsup, you can't take it back and demand some other type because its better?

NOT!!!!!! For me they were fine up to about 10k miles (12750 currently), smooth, quite, then like a switch, everything went south - INSTANTLY!!! The smoothness has been replaced by a high frequency buzzing like vibration, and the noise they make sound if I have a set of Super Swampers offroad truck tires. I'm trying to as many miles out of them before I replace to something far far better. Lexus did really poor job in spec'ing these tires.

NOISE!! I had mine replaced with Michelin PS2 @ 3400 mi with no hassle from my dealer. I am not sure your analogy applys when were talking about a 50k car.

Your analogy makes sense but only if you add a twist. If the catsup tastes like #*&$ and completely ruins the hamburger, you should absolutely demand that something be done. The bottom line is there are many tire choices out there and Lexus simply chose the wrong tire for this car. These Yoko Advan's taste like #*($ and I want a new hamburger.

OK. So does this happen on all cars? Or after a set ammount of time? I guess since I never sat in the gs350 with different tires so I dunno what it sounds like with different tires...

What tires came on yours?

Only the Yokohama Advan A10b tires have been reported to start making an excessive amount of road noise at 5,000+ miles.

There are so many threads on this I'm surprised you don't know about it.

And if you can't tell the increase of road noise then it doesn't matter.

I saw the posts, but never really read them being that mine sounded (or not sounded) ok. I'm just about 4.8k now. I guess I'll find out shortly. I have pretty good threads on them. is it only once it wears down?

If you can't hear the noise, it's a moot point for you and you are very lucky. You shouldn't worry about it until you start to hear it.
