A question about the alarm?
Occasionally when I open the door by just grabbing the door handle it beeps 4 times instead of twice. What does this mean?
Thanks

I want to know too...
Normally when locking is should only beeps once, and unlocking to beep twice.
Somehow, it beeps twice when lock and four times when unlock...
Does anyone know the answer for this???
P.S. I asked the dealer, they do not have the answer for it either

If you hit the lock button more times than once, when you go back and unlock with the handle it seems to beep 4 times instead of 2.... that's my observation. I've got a major OCD about making sure my car's locked so mine always beeps 4 times

Thank goodness, it's not just me. I asked the same thing at the dealer, but got no answer. When I push "lock" once, it beeps twice. When I push "unlock" it beeps 4 times. Someone on here in the know, please fill us in on what's going on.

Yep, same problem here as well. Funny thing, it's not consistent; sometimes the normal one beep for lock, 2x for unlock. Then it's 2x / 4x; no apparent reason; thought there might be some kind of signal reflection in a closed area (e.g. garage) but then it happens outdoors as well. Not a simple fix for an intermittent condition; but with all the similar incidents being reported here, kind of makes you wonder. The 2x beep on a lock makes you go back and check even if you're not OCD. Sometimes, it even doubles on pressing the door button, not using the remote. Go figure.
I'll put this in the category: "Things that make you go hummmm...."
