Lexus.com lists the 430 @ 18/25 and the 350 @ 21/29
Both have the same acceleration specs: 5.7 sec. 0-60 and a 14.2 sec. 1/4 mile time. The 430 actually has a higher final drive too.

V6 vs a V8 - a V6 will almost always be more efficient. With my somewhat spirited level of driving, I'm getting about 21-22 around town and nearly 32 on the hwy. Considering that the GS requires premium fuel (you'll be refilling the 430/460 more often), and the performance #'s are nearly identical, the 350 was the clear choice for me.

Not bad, but can you really notice 44 pounds on a 3,700+ pound car?

I am getting well into the 300+ miles to a tank in my 430 and I do a lot of stop and go city driving with it. There's something about having a V8 vs a V6. It's probably all in my head but well worth the piece of mind to me.

Also 430 wasn't offered with AWD.

Jeff,
I kind of understand your "peace of mind" comment. The V6 is relatively new and high-tech. I can't help wondering if it will have the steadfast smoothness and reliability of the V8 long-term. I guess if you're leasing and turning it over every 2 or 3 years, it doesn't matter. But if you're going for a keeper, I tend to have more faith in the 8. No science here...just a gut feeling. 30+ on the highway is pretty impressive for a V8. Is this isolated, or are most 430's seeing that kind of freeway mpg?
