Lots of 2007s appearing suddenly
I'm sure what, if anything, it means, but suddendly my local dealer, who has had just 0-2 new GSs on hand at any given time for the past 6 months, now has 8 new GS 350s and 2 new GS 450hs in his lot as of about a week ago. All of them are 2007s. Personally, I'm waiting until 2008 to get my new GS350.

Not sure if I should wait or buy!!!!

I'm in the same boat too. I wanted to wait to buy...then said "screw it, I'll buy now"...then after some more thought, finally decided to wait. I wish Lexus would hurry up and announce the arrival date of the '08's!!!

I looked at AutoTrader and it seems like one of the local dealers has 49
2007 GS350's in stock
Rumor has it that you can get a smoking deal on them as well...
It is a bit tempting, but I'd rather see what the 08's look like.

I was doing the on the fence dance with the 07/08 issue too. Lexus of Sacramento had one GS430 left on their lot and it had the color/options I wanted. FYI I got 10% off the base and a pretty good deal on my trade in.
They must be dealing on 07's b/c the dealership sold 5 while I was buying mine on a Wednesday afternoon. Sales manager said they normally do 1-2 cars on a Wednesday. He also mentioned that they were just doing a special deal on the finance rate, but I paid cash so I'm not sure what it was.
As far as the number of cars on the lot..they had a TON of GS 350's and IS's. Not too many LS's a just a few ES's.

unless you are wanting a 460 or some other NEW model, the changes in the others aren't worth the higher price you will pay for an "08".
Just get a brand spankin new "07" if you can get a screamin deal.
Much smarter decision financially, but if you are rolling in $$ and just want to brag about an "08" model, then wait.

This surplus only on West Coast probably. I'm right in between of two Ray Catena locations in NJ, and hardly see any 350s. Here 3GS is rare on a road in general, but whenever I see one those are mostly 300s w/o sharkfin. Of course, we get ONLY AWD models.

Besides front end and light change, nothing mechanically different with the 2007 or 2008 GS350, so unless you're willing to wait until next summer when end of 2008, then I would the $4000 off MSRP and take a 2007.

Central CA
My local dealer only has 4 GS350's left. No 450H's for the last 2 months and I haven't seen a single 430 since we started looking 6 months ago. The always have a ton of ES's & IS's. Only 2-4 LS's. It looks like the ES and IS sell best here in Fresno going by what they keep on the lot and also what I see on the road.
