My last tank was exclusively in the city....my commute is 7 miles to work, I average about 22 miles per hour, according to the dash monitor. This last tank (91 octane of course) got me 267 miles to the tank when cruising range was reading 0. Calculated mpg is about 17, car computer told me 18.1 !!!!! I think it is not too bad considering there are 2 very large hills I go up in that 7 miles and the a/c is on all the time, even at 730 am when i am on the road to work!! I drive with the ECT power on, and have a pretty heavy foot, tires are at the correct psi. I am pretty sure there is nothing wrong with the car, it is just me, oh...i am pretty sure it is broken in, odometer now reads 39,000 miles.

Your problem is your 7 mile commute. Short distance trips are the worst for fuel economy. If your commute was longer and mostly highway/freeway, it would be a lot better.

I usually get around 420 miles per tank. Amazing for an AWD car.
