First post so be gentle
I got a price on a 2008 GS350 of 51,000. The sticker price should be around 54,000 (the 2007 sticker is 53,798) and they said regardless of the price increase they will sell it to me for 51,000. This is my first Lexus and not sure if this is a good deal or not. It is probably around 3,000 over invoice. Any feedback will be appreciated.

I got it with the pre-collision/adaptive cruise control option ($2,850), nav, rain sensing wipers, ventilated seats, spoiler, park assist, pref. acc. pkg. and sat radio. No ML.

Seriously... Getting tired of seeing comments like this. How do you expect any business to survive if they don't sell their products over invoice? Not to mention it's an 08 which hasn't even hit the floor yet.
Ah so it's a special order? I'd say it's a good deal. I mean seriously, if you feel comfortable with the price then by all means it's a good deal. After all it's your money and whatever you feel it's worth. Go for it!

I'm not sure where in PA you are getting this price but it sounds a lot like a 'best deal' from one of the 2 western PA dealers (which are both owned by the same co.)
Give Wilkie Lexus in Philly a shot - they move a lot of iron. I almost bought my wife's '07 GS350AWD from them but at the last minute my local dealer (see above) agreed to meet their price w/in $200 (the 'offset' was I could still get their 18 free car washes a year). Of course they didn't know who the 'other' dealer was and thought it was one of the guys over in OH who would 'deliver' it to me in PA.
Worth a shot.... good luck

The only thing holding me back is a 08 BMW 535i. The thing about BMW is I am concerned about the reliabilty. This new version (e60) of the 5 series has not been as reliable according to consumer reports.
I am sure others on here faced the same decision.
By the way, I am dealing with Rahal Lexus in Mechanicburg PA.

Special order with pre-collision, forget about it. They are telling you December, but you will see its going to take even longer. Also keep in mind Hold Back fee that dealership going to get once you pick up your new car upon arrival. That is another $1k of negotiation money you can work with to bring the price down.
